Welcome to WASPS Hockey Club

Wesley South Perth Hockey Club (WASPS) was established in 1933 and is based at Richardson Park in South Perth (opposite Perth Zoo). WASPS is one of Perth’s longest-standing hockey clubs.

WASPS caters to players of all ages and abilities (as young as 3!) and currently has over 700 registered playing members. We are represented in the majority levels of competition within the HockeyWA winter competition (on both grass and turf), including the Men's and Women's Premier League. We also cater to metro (grass) grades and masters (over 35's through to over 50’s) teams.

WASPS have an extremely popular Junior hockey program. Junior grades are based on a player's year at school - commencing from Pre-Primary all the way to Year 12. There are a number of teams in each age group, allowing us to cater for all levels of experience from beginner to state-level. The season comprises 14 weeks of fixtures plus finals.

With our own licensed clubrooms at Richardson Park and a range of club-wide social events throughout the year, WASPS provides a friendly environment in which to both play hockey and to socialise and engage with other members and our families.

Interested in playing for WASPS in 2025?

If you are interested in playing for WASPS this season, whether you are new to the club or a returning member, please complete our registration form or reach out to the respective committee member.
